Week 2, Day 2 – Pace Yourself

by StephBuckwalter on June 14, 2011

If you’ve been with us from the beginning, you know that the initial burst of energy is still there, but may be waning. Try to pace yourself by setting a rhythm to your cleaning days. For example, in the 3-3-3 plan I laid out, there is room for down days, busy days, so-so days, and productive days. Using a plan like that, you can allow for surprises without getting too far off track.

I should be able to send out the winner information this evening. I had to prepare for a meeting and what I thought would take 1 hour took more like 3. Yikes!

Well, I thought I was going to get more done today, but a hike and picnic and then playing at the park happened instead. :) I spent 45min scrubbing out the fridge. Didn’t get to the freezer yet, but wow what I did looks good.

Must be that kind of a day. I didn’t get anything done because I was out most of the day.

Monday we had to prepare our food products for our local farmers market so we ended up with more of a “mess up” than a “clean up”! Today we logged a mere 1 hour pulling weeds and trying to transform our garden to something presentable. Hopefully, we can go to bed early and hit the ground running in the morning!

Monday I was gone the entire day unexpectedly. I was planning on stripping wallpaper in my bathroom. That will have to wait a little longer now. Forgot to post last night, but after work I spent 45 minutes purging old papers and organizing a file drawer.

I forgot to post again! Tuesday I cleared another one of those living room piles. Now we have another place to sit and visit. The table it staying cleared off – it’s 2 or 3 days clear now – I think it’s a record.

I forgot to put in the time spent. It was an hour.
