I have to admit, our family was slow to jump on the electronics bandwagon. But technology has finally caught up with us, and so has the proliferation of cables and chargers from various devices. The biggest problem is finding the right item when you need it. They get moved around, they disappear and then reappear, they travel the world and get left behind, and they get mixed in with a bunch of other miscellaneous electronic paraphernalia.
I finally started tagging the cords right out of the box. It has saved me so much time and energy. I take a piece of masking tape about two inches long. I put the cord in the middle and fold it in half. Then I write the name of the device on the tape. I usually put the tape a few inches up from the plug so it doesn’t get in the way.
I store those that are not in use in a couple of places. For anything related to the TV, all spare cords go into a drawer in a cabinet next to the TV. All other cords go into a cabinet in the office.
